ICA Top Paper: Carpenter, Bowman, & Manata

In our lead up to #ICA25, we are providing information about papers that received Top Paper awards from the Communication Science and Biology (CSaB) Interest Group. Each paper received exceptionally high scores from reviewers. These papers reflect outstanding scholarship in CSaB. Today’s Top Paper features Christopher J. Carpenter, Nicholas D. In a few short sentences, what is your study about?

Our paper attempts to improve the development and study of constructs in communication science.

How did you come up with the idea for this line of research?

It started as a workshop at the 2024 Communication Science Futures Conference.

We are really honored to have been chosen for the top paper panel of the division with some of the most rigorous research at ICA.
